Job Information

The Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for providing financial leadership and analytical support to business operations through forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, strategic planning, and decision support. This position serves as a key business partner to operational leaders, delivering actionable insights that drive financial performance, improve processes, and support strategic initiatives.

The role leads complex financial analysis, supports monthly and annual planning activities, ensures compliance with financial policies and internal controls, and actively contributes to business transformation and continuous improvement efforts.

 

Role & Responsibility

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes, including revenue, expense, and balance sheet projections.
  • Analyze and communicate monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow performance against forecast, plan, and prior year.
  • Provide management with meaningful financial insights, business trends, risks, and opportunities to support decision-making.
  • Support the development of Annual Operating Plans (AOP), Long Range Plans (LRP), and strategic business initiatives.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support operational and strategic decisions.

Financial Reporting & Business Partnership

  • Lead the preparation, review, and continuous improvement of monthly management reporting packages.
  • Partner with operational leaders, engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to evaluate business performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Present financial results and recommendations to leadership teams.
  • Analyze key business drivers impacting profitability, working capital, and operational performance.
  • Provide financial guidance to department managers during budget development and throughout the year.

Accounting & Controls

  • Lead month-end close activities, including accrual reviews, account analysis, expense validation, and financial statement review.
  • Oversee and strengthen balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts including inventory, fixed assets, accruals, and accounts payable.
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Financial Policies, SOX compliance, GAAP/IFRS requirements, and internal control standards.
  • Support internal and external audit activities and coordinate responses to audit inquiries.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance financial accuracy, efficiency, and control effectiveness.

Process Improvement & Systems Leadership

  • Drive financial reporting automation and process standardization initiatives.
  • Lead implementation and enhancement of reporting tools, systems, and financial processes.
  • Utilize technology and data analytics to improve reporting effectiveness and business decision support.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects focused on operational excellence and business transformation.

Leadership & Development

  • Serve as a mentor and resource for Finance Analysts and other team members.
  • Provide guidance and training on financial processes, reporting requirements, and analytical methodologies.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and project teams as assigned.
  • Foster strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

Job Requirement

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or other professional certification preferred.

Experience

  • 5-8+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, FP&A, or related areas.
  • Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting business leaders and driving financial decision-making.
  • Demonstrated success leading projects and implementing process improvements.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Advanced understanding of GAAP/IFRS and internal control requirements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively partner with operational and executive leadership.

Travel

  • Less than 10%
