Environmental Health & Safety Engineer Jr (Temporary)

Job Information

In this role, you will support the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) department in implementing safety protocols, conducting inspections, and assisting with compliance efforts. Your responsibilities will include performing routine inspections, collecting data, participating in safety training programs, and assisting with the development of safety policies and procedures.

Role & Responsibility

Assist with safety inspections: 

• Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and work areas to identify potential hazards
• Document findings and assist in recommending corrective actions to ensure compliance with safety regulations 

Support safety programs: 

• Participate in the implementation of safety protocols and programs across the organization
• Assist in the development and distribution of safety communications and educational materials

Data collection and analysis: 

• Collect and analyze safety-related data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks 
• Assist in generating reports and presentations to communicate findings to the EHS team 

Assist or perform incident investigations: 

• Collaborate with the EHS team to investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses 
• Help analyze root causes and contribute to the development of corrective and preventive actions 

Training and education: 

• Assist in delivering safety training programs and workshops for employees
• Help develop training materials and conduct safety inductions for new hires

Administrative, compliance and regulatory support: 

• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety activities
• Provide general administrative support to the EHS department as needed 
• Stay updated on relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations 
• Assist in maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Job Requirement

• Education required: Bachelor's Degree 
• Intermediate understanding of environmental health and safety principles 
• Basic/Intermediate English
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills 
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office
