Co-op: An 8-month long opportunity, Co-op positions are full-time employment experience. Co-ops are fully immersed into the worlds of corporate and production industry as full-time team member.

Internship: A semester long opportunity, Internships positions are a part-time employment experience. With the opportunity to extend multiple semesters, Interns tap into the foundations of our corporate and production industries. 

Role & Responsibility

Safety Communication Systems:

• Support product manuals, operator handbooks, user guides, installation instructions, decals, safety signs, safety videos, operator training resources, marketing materials, and other product communication forms to help ensure consistent and effective safety communication.
• Perform first-pass quality checks and organize review comments for manuals, decals, installation instructions, training resources, and marketing materials against approved Product Safety direction.
• Assist with the development and revision of warning and instruction signs, safety videos, operator training courses, quick-reference aids, checklists, and storyboard outlines.
• Review product development documentation and technical literature for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and readiness for Product Safety review.
• Assist with safety communication support for NPD projects, including collecting references, organizing decision history, and maintaining review status trackers.
• Support review of marketing and advertising materials such as social media posts, website pages, product brochures, photo/video shoot content, sales collateral, and trade-show materials.
• Help organize current communication channels such as technical service bulletins, recall notices, dealer letters, DealerNet content, Bobcat.com parts text, Product Value documents, engineering documents, product management documents, project documentation, emails, and chat messages when they are part of a safety communication review. 

Collaboration & Training: 

• Interface closely with the Product Safety & Compliance team and collaborate with Marketing, Technical Publications, Product Engineering, Product Service, Legal, Product Management, and other functional departments as needed. 
• Collaborate with global technical publication partners to support consistent safety communication in product manuals, field campaigns, and other technical communication assets. 
• Assist with promotion, organization, and continuous improvement of Bobcat training resources and safety communication systems.  

Compliance Documentation: 

• Assist with development and maintenance of design verification and testing (DVAT) templates and safety communication records. 
• Support regional compliance documentation activities as directed, including EU Technical Construction File indexes, EU Declaration of Conformity support materials, and other safety certificate documentation. 
• Collect relevant background from standards, internal templates, risk assessments, prior product safety examples, and approved references for SME review.

Job Requirement

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Technical Communication, Technical Writing, Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, Business, Safety/Risk Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, formatting, and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate simple and complex technical material clearly.
• Strong analytical, organizational, time-management, and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to organize technical references, comments, decision history, and document-review records.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a cross-functional environment.
• Interest in product safety, technical communication, manuals, decals/safety signs, training resources, equipment operation, and product lifecycle documentation.
• Preferred: familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, technical publications, product manuals, training media, engineering drawings, standards, or compliance documentation.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support compliance initiatives.
